Consultation Corner: A New Way to Research and Collaborate in Young Library

published January 23, 2018

Young Library has a new consultation and collaboration area designed to make it easier for you to get the support, tools and knowledge you need. We’re calling it the Consultation Corner and it’s a place for:

  • Expert Advice: Consult with a Librarian to direct your research — both individual and small group.
  • Team-up: Have impromptu collaborations and group work between students, librarians, and faculty.
  • How-Tos: See pop-up demonstrations and get instruction on new and existing resources such as Swank, Flipster, Zotero and other research tools.
  • Demos: Check out  the “Discovery Bar” where collections or cool new technologies are on display.

The Consultation Corner features a curved sectional sofa facing a whiteboard wall with a coffee table and ottomans. Shelves on the back side of the couches will allow for standing conversations, instruction or a place to rest your laptop for while working or quick printing.

Come check it out!
